Understanding research peptides.

A plain-language primer for researchers: what peptides are, how they're made and verified, and how to read the documentation USA Made Peptides publishes for every product. Educational and research-framed only, never medical or dosing guidance.

What is a peptide?

A peptide is a short chain of amino acids linked by peptide bonds, effectively a small fragment of a protein. In the laboratory, synthetic peptides are widely used as reference materials and reagents in biochemical, analytical, and in-vitro research.

USA Made Peptides supplies these compounds strictly for that research use. They are not drugs, foods, or cosmetics, and are not intended for human or veterinary consumption.

From synthesis to research grade.

USA Made Peptides peptides are produced using established solid-phase and solution-phase synthesis methods, then purified to research grade. Each batch is characterized for identity and purity before it is released.

Tested, then documented.

Identity and purity are confirmed by reverse-phase HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) and mass spectrometry at independent third-party laboratories in the United States. The result is recorded on a Certificate of Analysis (purity %, identity confirmation, and method) and published on each product page, so you can read the data before you order.

General laboratory guidance.

Research peptides are typically supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder and are sensitive to heat, light, and moisture. General laboratory practice is to store sealed vials cold and to follow your institution's protocols for handling research materials.

This is general handling information, not usage instruction.

Reading your Certificate of Analysis.

Every product has a CoA tied to its batch: the compound's identity, the measured purity (by HPLC area %), and the analytical methods used. See how we verify every lot.

Products are sold for laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use, not a drug, food, or cosmetic, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
